Art for Your Soul

Beth Owen grew up in El Dorado, Arkansas.  Both her mother and maternal grandfather were visual artists.  Beth was raised in a home where arts and the humanities were central.  When she was young she was involved in many art forms; theater, music, and ballet in addition to visual art.  Now, as a professional abstract visual artist, she employs both oil and acrylic to create various expressive textured pieces influenced by nature, memories, past dance experiences, and the nuances of life we humans all experience.  She has had two solo shows as an artist with Art Ventures Gallery, two group shows, and has taught art workshops.  She is currently a represented artist with The Art Collective Gallery in Bentonville, Arkansas as well as The Art Gallery at the Northwest Arkansas Mall in Fayetteville. One of her pieces, entitled “Cosmos” will be on display at the Fort Smith Regional Art Museum for their Annual Art Invitational in the spring of 2025 in Fort Smith , Arkansas. Beth will return to her roots in September 2026 for a month-long solo show at the South Arkansas Arts Center in El Dorado.  Recently, Beth was one of twenty Arkansas artists selected by the Hot Springs Area Cultural Arts Alliance to have her work displayed in the Hot Springs National Park.  It will be on display through April 2025.  She received a BA in Art History from the University of Arkansas in 2015.  Beth currently lives in Fayetteville, Arkansas with her husband, Kirk.
